Flexible working arrangements have been popular for some time. The recent pandemic has accelerated working from home and prospective employees being more selective on what organizations they work for. As a result, offering a variety of flex work arrangements can be used as an incentive to hire and retain employees.
In this webinar, remote work, job sharing, and compressed work weeks will be discussed as well as other possible forms of flex work will be presented. With flex work schedules a number of challenges will be discussed. During the webinar these challenges will be discussed including the importance of developing policies around this type of work arrangement.
In addition, there will be strategies presented on how to implement a flex work program in your organization. This will involve considering some of the legal challenges that might present themselves, the advantages and disadvantages of such a program and a discussion of other challenges that might arise.
Flexible work programs have become popular in recent years. Flextime gives workers greater freedom in terms of the time when they begin and end work, as long as they put in the total number of hours required by the employer. Examples of flexible working arrangements include telecommuting, job-sharing, and compressed work weeks.
Employees participating in flex work arrangements have higher levels of job satisfaction and reduced levels of burnout and psychological stress. As a result, employees in a flex work environment are more likely to be more productive and the workplace climate more likely to be conducive to high performance and a positive work atmosphere.
In this webinar, an overview of the various flex work arrangements will be considered, the benefits and disadvantages of each, policies to guide managing flex workers and steps in successfully implementing such a program.
