Anger can arise in the workplace, where people with different values, goals, and perspectives manage complex and stress-provoking work and situations. By applying some key techniques, you can reduce anger in others and learn how to constructively manage it. You can learn how to transition a potentially negative situation to one that allows us to entertain new possibilities.
Dealing with angry people can seem very daunting, but the techniques from this webinar, combined with some very clear actions that you can take, will help those times to be less difficult. This webinar will help you develop stronger communication skills, so that you can diffuse angry people, ensure that your own expectations are clearly stated, and reduce difficult situations in the future.
We often encounter angry people in the workplace. We are going along our merry way and then someone puts up a blockade in our path. Maybe its corporate politics and power plays of a co-worker, maybe it’s an employee that seems to not get along well with others, or maybe it’s a boss who thinks yelling and shouting is the only way to interact with their staff. As a result, we often have to deal with people who it appears their sole purpose is to make our life difficult. This can be intimidating, frustrating, and disruptive to our daily work goals.
How do you deal with them and manage their anger and direct them to a more positive result? What strategies can you use to diffuse them and mitigate future angry interactions with you, or with them and others? How do you lower your own stress in dealing with them so you don’t become an angry person along with them?
