Quality Control for Microbiological Media and Reagents

Duration 60 Mins
Level Basic & Intermediate
Webinar ID IQW19B0242

This webinar will help you develop a quality control program that fits your microbiological laboratory’s needs. We will explicitly not cover any serological, immunological or molecular tests. The webinar will include the following critical information you will need:

  • Why quality control for these reagents
  • Quality control for solid media
  • Quality control for liquid media
  • Quality control for media kits
  • Quality control for biochemical reagents
  •  How to integrate quality control for various media and reagents

Overview of the webinar

This session will give you the tools you need to maintain a quality supply of media and reagents in a variety of microbiology laboratories. A thorough understanding of the variety of challenges necessary in maintaining quality media and reagents will be brought to the fore. This will allow you to perform microbiology testing with confidence.

Who should attend?

This topic applies to personnel/companies any industry that requires regular microbiology testing as a part of their business. The employees who will benefit most include:

  • Senior management
  • Quality Assurance
  • Research and Development
  • Facilities Staff

Why should you attend?

  • In microbiology laboratories, there are a wide array and media for all sorts of use.
  • From clinical laboratories to environmental monitoring, from research laboratories to industrial labs, there are a large number of different set-ups.
  • This webinar will cover a variety of different media and reagents and will discuss the quality control methods necessary for each.
  • This will allow your laboratory to develop the plan that is right for your needs and help you succeed in meeting the laboratory’s goals no matter what industry they may be in.
  • These media and reagents need to be monitored on a regular basis to ensure that the work performed in these laboratories is accurate and true. false results will be reported, which can lead to serious consequences and harm the public health in a myriad of ways.
